Coles Consulting is an engineering consultancy team based in Southland, New Zealand. Our team includes engineering professionals who can assist you in designing buildings, providing building assessments, construction monitoring, and more.

We are specialists in the design of bridges, stock underpasses and box culverts and currently design precast components for one of New Zealand’s largest precast manufacturers, Hynds Pipe Systems Limited. We have also been involved in the design and construction monitoring of a larger number of industrial and commercial buildings through our design-build involvement with Calder Stewart Construction. As we work for a diverse range of clients and industry sectors, we are able to bring innovation and best practices from lessons learnt in one industry to another.

Our team believes that strong attention to detail during the design and documentation stages results in better overall outcomes. By focusing on these early stages, potential issues can be spotted upfront resulting in fewer unexpected costs and delays. Our ideology is that although well-documented projects cost more to produce during the design phase, they ultimately result in a lower overall project cost given the greater certainty during contractor pricing and less construction variations.
